The KS-2573 was one of the best-known all-terrain truck-mounted cranes produced in the Soviet Union. Developed by the Ivanovo Crane Plant in the mid-1980s, it was designed to replace the earlier KS-2572 model. The crane, with a lifting capacity of 6.3 tonnes, was mounted on the all-wheel-drive Ural-4320/43202 truck chassis, giving it excellent off-road mobility.
The KS-2573 was widely used on construction sites, in industrial facilities, mining operations and by military engineering units. Thanks to its robust design, ease of maintenance and outstanding cross-country capability, it remained in service for many years throughout the Soviet Union and numerous Eastern European countries.
Mounted on the distinctive Ural chassis, the KS-2573 became one of the most recognizable Soviet mobile cranes. Both military and civilian versions played an important role in lifting heavy loads and supporting engineering, construction and logistics operations.
